Saint Teresa of Jesus (Avila)

The statue of Saint Teresa, measuring 50 cm in height, has been expertly restored by the Giuseppe Stuflesser workshop in Ortisei (Val Gardena). Saint Teresa of Ávila was a Spanish Carmelite nun, mystic and Doctor of the Church. She founded the Order of Discalced Carmelites and is considered an important spiritual teacher of the Catholic Church. Her feast day is celebrated on 15 October.
