Giuseppe Stuflesser & Co. – Ars Sacra
was founded in 1910, at the same time the new workshop
was set up.
Giuseppe Stuflesser, the founder of the workshop, was
born in 1887 in Ortisei and started his own business
after gaining experience in his father Fernando’s
workshop.
That time was certainly the golden age of Val Gardena craft
industry. Giuseppe Stuflesser’s workshop was reached by a
high number of orders, especially for fashioning altars.
This way tradition was preserved for three more generations.
Today Giuseppe Stuflesser & Co. is well-known in
parishes, places of pilgrimage, monasteries,
diocesan towns, kindergartens,
institutes, hospitals and also with prayer groups
and private indiviuals all over the world.
